  1. General
  2. 1. The term “licensee” refers to any individual or entity holding a license issued under the sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 or Infrastructure Provider-I registration issued by the Department of Telecommunication, Govt. of India.
  3. 2. The term “you” refers to the authorized person of the licensee with authorization to apply for new over-ground & underground telegraph infrastructure permission, renewal of the over-ground telegraph infrastructure permission, shifting of the telegraph infrastructure and communicate with various government, public or private stakeholders for telegraph related activities in the state of Assam.
  4. 3. By using our services, you hereby agree and declare that you will follow the Indian Telegraph Right of Way Rules, 2016; Guidelines for Granting Right of Way to Telegraph Infrastructure in Assam, 2018; Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and subsequent amendments of the rules, guidelines and acts mentioned herein.
  5. Access to Services: RoW Assam Licensee Account
  6. 1. Your use of the services is subject to your creation of a Licensee Account in the RoW Assam Portal and approval of the same by the IT Department/DITEC.
  7. 2. By using any service for the Licensee through the Licensee Account in the Assam RoW Portal, you hereby agree to provide authorization from the concerned licensee to operate the aforementioned account in the Assam RoW Portal.
  8. 3. The IT Department/DITEC on behalf of concerned District Administration or on its own behalf has the right to refuse or limit your access to the services in the Assam RoW Portal. In order to verify the veracity of continuing eligibility of the Licensee and your association thereof, additional information pertaining your Account may be asked from time-to-time including, but not limited to, re-verification of your name, address, and other identifying information.
  9. 4. If required, you may transfer your rights to operate the Licensee Account of the Assam RoW Portal to another person authorized by the Licensee, subject to necessary verification of the authorization by IT Department/DITEC, Government of Assam.
  10. Using our Services
  11. 1. You may use the services in the Assam RoW Portal only as permitted by its terms & conditions under any applicable laws.
  12. 2. Misuse of the services, e.g. prank or irrelevant application for services pertaining to telegraph infrastructure using the Assam RoW Portal may attract punitive action against the violator and suspension of the account.
  13. Changes to Our Services
  14. 1. The services offered through the Assam RoW Portal are continuously evaluated for scope of improvement as per Government Process Re-Engineering (GPR) procedures. To this end, addition or removal or alteration of functionalities or features of the services may happen at any time. Also a service may be suspended or stopped altogether. If you do not agree to any modified terms for the affected services in the Assam RoW Portal, you might have to stop using them.
  15. 2. On or before change of any terms and conditions pertaining to the Assam RoW Portal and its services thereof, notifications of the modifications would be published in the Assam RoW Portal or any other public information dissemination channel.
